In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Location: built for St Peter's — The hotel is on Via della Conciliazione, the street that leads up to St Peter's Square, and guests describe the position as magnificent, perfect or spot on. The Vatican Museums are listed as about a 20-minute walk away.
  • Staff: consistently singled out — Multiple reviewers credit very helpful staff, and one guest notes that a driver arranged by the hotel collected them from a cruise ship and took them to the airport.
  • Rooms: spacious and well appointed — Reviews repeatedly mention large bedrooms, modern bathrooms and comfortable beds, and every listed room comes with a coffee machine, heating and air conditioning.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Dining is the weakest score — The hotel's dining rating is 6/10 even though several guests praise the breakfast buffet, so this is the one category to weigh if breakfast matters to you.
  • Value scores below the overall rating — Price and service sit at 6/10 against an overall 8.7, and the guest who called it very good value specifically linked that to a low-season discount.
  • Fixed check-in and check-out windows — You can arrive between 14:00 and 23:30, and check-out runs from 01:00 to 10:00. If your plans run late, the listed windows may feel tight.

“Thanks to very, very helpful staff, I had a nicely decorated queen room with street views. The location was magnificent — the hotel is on the street that leads directly up to St Peter's Square.”

8.7Verified guest

“The staff were very, very helpful and the queen room was tastefully decorated with views of the street. It was also close to a famous chapel, which made the location excellent.”

“A perfect little hotel in a local area close to the Castle and Rome's highlights — Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Castel Sant'Angelo and, of course, St Peter's Basilica and the Vatican. The room was well appointed with stunningly beautiful views.”

8.7Verified guest

“Great location, lovely big rooms and a very good breakfast buffet. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the low-season discount made it very good value.”

8.7Verified guest

“I wasn't sure what to expect, because the price is low for central Rome and the name is a little confusing, but the hotel is great. It sits on Via della Conciliazione, the road to the Vatican, so it's perfectly placed if that's your main goal — and the other attractions are walkable too. We walked from the Colosseum to the Spanish Steps and back through the centre to the hotel. A hop-on hop-off bus stops near the Vatican. The bedroom was large, with new furniture and a modern bathroom. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet of yoghurt, pastries, cold cuts and pies, with a great espresso machine, and coffee and juice were available all day. I'd highly recommend it.”
